Senior Product Manager (Workflows)

How can you help?

We are looking for individuals that thrive at analysing and designing the services/workflows that can be developed in a Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) to meet the requirements of each implementation and change. They would be responsible for defining and documenting the workflow architecture and ensuring that all development adheres to the defined architecture. They will also be required to manage the backlogs and guide a squad of developers within the team to ensure that best practices are always followed and all developers within the team understand and can follow the architecture. 


Key responsibilities:

  • Integration linkage between the data workflows and enterprise and crowd platforms 
  • End-user workflow support, training, and mentoring
  • Partner with the business to investigate bottlenecks, gaps, overlaps and identifies opportunities to lean out, improve and add value to existing business workflows. Research the industry and internal global organization for innovative workflow solutions. Share and replicate best practices
  • Provide day-to-day education & workflow advice and guidance to users to ensure correct use 
  • Alongside the platforms Product Owners, train users to use these systems optimally according to accepted global best practice (includes on boarding, 1:2:1 and virtual training delivery)
  • Understand the data flows and deliver workflow support towards consumer disciplines and needs
  • Define and execute testing alongside the QA team, validate new systems and upgrades can be deployed
  • Feedback requirements to development teams 
  • Be responsible that the quality of each deliverable can ensured and is off the highest standard 
  • Work closely with the other development teams to ensure the end-to-end solution meet the business requirements 
  • Work jointly with the Data Team to ensure the most appropriate Database design 
  • Be able to investigate issues under tight time constraints and be able prioritise other work accordingly
  • Write and maintain appropriate documentation to describe application development 
  • Be aware of security implications when implementing solutions 
  • Identify performance improvements in existing functionality and drive enhancements.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 

  • Experience with JSON technologies 

  • Excellent communication skills with the business and other technical teams with different levels of technical understanding 

  • Experience working in an agile methodology

  • The role holder should be able to prioritise their work accordingly to delivery expectations 

  • Excellent documentation skills for documenting technical solutions 

  • Play a technical leadership role on design and development on projects with little or no supervision.
